Junior Team Golf League
We are looking forward to another great season of
Junior Team Golf in 2012.
Program cost is $400 per junior golfer for the entire season of practices, matches, team shirts and end of the season family awards ice cream social. All junior team golfers are automatically granted junior membership status at Juday Creek which allows them unlimtied playing privileges with the exceptions of weekends before noon.
New for 2012 - Individual Junior Golf League Open to Team Golf Players
An orientation meeting is scheduled for
Wednesday, May 23rd at 6:30 p.m.
for both parents and players.
The first day of Junior Team Golf League will be Friday, June 8th and the program will run through Sunday, August 5th.
Generally, there will be two practices per week with one match against another team. Matches will be designed to equalize teams of differing ages and skill levels if needed.
Program is open to students entering 5th grade through the 12th grade.
Team schedules will be arranged based on student needs. Practices will run either Monday/Wednesday or Tuesday/Thursday with most matches on Fridays. Practices will run approximately 2 hours and matches approximately 3 hours.
Teams will consist of approximatly 7 players and will each be coached by their own collegiate level golfer. Teams will be supervised by Jim Garrett, Penn High School Girls Golf Coach and Tim Holt, PGA golf professional, Holy Cross College Boys and Girls Golf Coach. Various skill tests will be administered throughout the season to measure progress.
Teams will all choose their own names and be provided with a Team Golf Shirt.
Friends can be paired together.
